Grants

Intersect ENT supports independent education, programs, and scientific initiatives that enhance the quality of life in various communities.

All requests for Education Grants and Investigator-Sponsored Trials must be submitted through this website (through the required fields below) at least 60 days before the activity’s start date. Intersect ENT does not make any commitments for funding or control any of the content of any programs that Intersect ENT supports.

Any grant provided by Intersect ENT is not intended as an inducement to prescribe, refer, or recommend any Intersect ENT product and is not intended as a reward for any previous prescribing activity. Intersect ENT does not promote the use of products that have not been approved for sale by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Education Grants

Intersect ENT will consider requests from qualified organizations including hospitals, universities, medical societies, medical education companies, and patient advocacy organizations.  Educational programs that address the treatment of chronic sinusitis and related conditions with drug-eluting implants, medical therapies and related or complementary treatment modalities are our main focus.

Intersect ENT will only consider funding educational programs that are designed to be: high-quality, balanced, scientifically rigorous, free from commercial influence or bias, and conducted in accordance with the AdvaMed Code, ACCME guidelines, and other accrediting bodies. Intersect ENT accepts the submission of multi-sponsored grants, where Intersect ENT supports continuing medical education programs and independent medical education initiatives.

Investigator-Sponsored Trials (ISTs)

Intersect ENT offers grants to clinicians, scientists, and academic institutions (i.e., sponsor investigators) who are pursuing medically and scientifically sound research on our company’s products or focus in treating chronic sinusitis and related conditions with drug-eluting implants, medical therapies and related or complementary treatment modalities. To be considered for an IST grant, all requestors must provide comprehensive study details, such as scientific rationale, primary/secondary objectives, study endpoints, projected study design, and fair market study budget. Study proposals will be reviewed for scientific merit, validity, and alignment with Intersect ENT’s mission.

Intersect ENT does not support the following:

  • Grants that would be payable to an individual healthcare professional
  • Conference travel grants or registration fees for healthcare professionals (other than scholarships to permit medical students, residents, fellows or other healthcare professionals in training to attend carefully selected educational conferences)
  • Grants for education that is routine and/or a required part of medical training, e.g. textbooks, journal subscriptions, or preparation materials for Board reviews
